Several years ago I was asked
by a Judge at the Suffolk Probate Court to take over the
affairs of an elderly woman who needed assistance. After
agreeing to accept this appointment, I learned that she
was the owner of two buildings in Roxbury, each with six
units, many of whom where occupied by Section 8 tenants.
I had never previously handled a case involving this
much rental property and thought it would be a
nightmare.
Thankfully, I was referred to

headaches, hassles, and countless phone calls from
dissatisfied tenants never materialized. I don't
believe I have ever received a phone call from a tenant
since Avery Property Management took over management of
these two properties. They have assisted me in the
management of these properties in every aspect from
dealing with small problems involving minor repairs to
the monthly collection of rents and assisting to
negotiate new leases, both with the tenants and with the
Housing Authority.
